Description of works
The works expansion at "Muehlenberger Loch" includes the erection of the equipment installation hall for the interior equipment of four A380s.
The external supporting structure consists of a 4-span main truss 370 m in length, with a 92 m clear span and a total height of 10 m, as well as eight transverse auxiliary trusses with a cantilever length of 36 m and a total height of 9 m. The roof structure of trusses, purlins and bracing bays is suspended from the external supporting structure, carrying the roof cladding. To accommodate the rudder
unit, the roof is raised in an area of 21 x 35 m per parking position.
