Service Hangar II
Daimler-Benz Aerospace AG, Manching
Description of work
The two main columns and the 150 m free spanning gate truss girder are designed as two-hinged frame. With this structural system the extreme small overall height of only 6.5 m requested by the client could be maintained. The secondary truss girders spanning in transverse direction between main truss girder and the rear wall have a distance of 12.6 m. The purlins above at 6.1 m centres are supporting the trapezoidal sheets of the roof. The roof plane is designed as shear panel, transfering the horizontal loads to the vertical bracings and the main frame at the gate. Equipment: Two 5-tons double-girder suspension cranes, moveable over the entire inside area.
