Description of work:

Extension of the historic Darmstadt station, building over 6 shunting tracks; a road as connection to the "Weststadt". Integrated are shops and catering on 2 levels; the development is suitable for the disabled. The trusses have span lengths of 18.0 m  und 27.0, the inventory including a 15.0 m cantilever. The two shop storeys are supended from the trusses in the roof area. Stabilisation is by way of the roof braced bays and the reinforced concrete deck slabs.
 

Scope of work:

Structural analysis, fabrication and erection of the steel structure, including corrosion protection coating.
