"Allrounder winterworld" Indoor-Ski hall, Neuss
Description of works:
The leisure complex contains two parts, the ski hall and a main entrance building with generous catering and sales spaces, administration, ski rental, changing and engineering rooms. Directly adjacent is the ski hall with a piste 270 metres in length and 50 metres in width. The piste lies on a steel composite floor on top of
a support structure, with a longitudinal inclination of up to 26%, and is arched by a curved roof with a clear hall height
of 13 metres.
The hall was erected on a landfill site with a low natural inclination. The uncommon foundation soil makes special demands on the support structure, which can compensate subsidence via readjustment capabilities.
Scope of works:
Final planning, delivery and erection of the steel construction.
General contractor:
Consortium Skihalle Neuss, Dyckerhoff & Widmann AG und Heilit + Woerner Bau AG, Niederlassung Düsseldorf.
