Sportshall for athletics and badminton
Herrmann Neuberger Sportschule, Saarbrücken
Description of works:
12 external arched triangular pipe trusses carry the roof framework. With a system height of 2.70 m, the upside-down triangular trusses span the hall area. Roof bracing bays in the purlin plane stabilise the framework longitudinally, transferring their loads to a wall bracing bay each between the column axes. The circular columns, which are horizontally supported on the lateral solid function building at approx. half the height of the columns, stabilise the support structure in the transverse direction.
Scope of deliveries/works:
Structural analysis, fabrication and erection of the steel support structure including corrosion protection.
